Description The TA383 Humidity indicator plug monitors moisture levels in engines during transport and storage and alerts the user when desiccant should be replaced thereby preventing corrosion in the engine block. This plug was specifically designed for installation in engine cylinders. It installs into an 18-1.5 mm threaded boss (the same thread as the most common spark plug size used in automobiles). The o-ring provides an airtight seal with minimal torque. Part number format is TA383-40 for single spot cards; TA383-123P for multi-segment cards. Also available with a mounting nut by adding a "-W" to the end of the part number. Recommended Installation Torque: 25 - 35 in. - lbs. (3.0 - 4.0 N·m) Standard finish is clear anodize. Standard gaskets are IAW MIL-R-6855. Alternate finishes and gasket materials are available on request. Please contact AGM's Engineering Department for more information.
